Welcome to the National Pro-Life Registry. This site is designed to be your
portal to the vast pro-life resources on the internet. Links are provided to
national, state, and local sites dedicated to promoting the right to life of
all people from the moment of conception through natural death. What does it
mean to be pro-life? In its most basic terms, it means that when an embryo is
created he or she deserves the same protection as an adult, regardless of age,
viability, or disability. It also means that, absent of clear instructions to
the contrary, food and water should not be removed to cause death if a person
becomes incapcitated for any reason. It means a person remains a human through
the moment of death without ever becoming a vegetable. People who are fully
pro-life do not make an exception for rape or incest. Although horrible, in
neither case has the unborn baby done anything wrong to warrant death. In an
extreme case where the life of the mother may be at stake, she, and if she is
unable to make the decision because of her health, her family, must make the
decision weighing the threat to the mother against the death of the unborn
baby. Few of us could possibly know exactly how we would react in such a
situation without actually experiencing it.
If you consider yourself to be pro-life, but believe the law should make
an exception for rape or incest, I still invite you to be listed The latest
available statistics list rape as being responsible for 1% of abortions and
incest as less then .5%. Once we end 98.5% of abortions performed for all the
other reasons, then let's have an ongoing discussion about the remainder. The
vast majority of pro-life people seek to reduce or eliminate abortions through
lawful means. First, we seek to change the hearts and minds of the public
through honest communication and education. Second, we seek to enact or change
laws, both on a state and federal level, to protect the life of the unborn and
disabled. We DO NOT believe in meeting the violence of the abortion mills with
violence.

for viewing by others, including the officials elected to represent them.
